Live UK stockwatch websites.....Free

It appears the live stockwatch on Moneyam is shutting down on 21st Feb which is a pity....(transferring to "Shares" subscription only)

Can anyone recommend any free uk live stockwatch sites...?

I have an HL account but don't particularly like the layout with their watch lists..... and ADVFN seems to timeout after a few seconds.

Any others....?

I had a similar problem - every commercially available 'watch' facility I looked at had downsides which for various reasons did not suit me. Eventually I wrote my own custom application in Javascript based on Google Apps (all totally free) and never looked back. The application is readily adaptable to particular requirements and easy to use although not quite in a form which could be easily adopted by others. I can add/remove shares or indices, set buy/sell thresholds, 52-week high/lows, etc. The application sources real-time prices from Google Finance and automatically sends an email (to myself) as soon as an event has been triggered. A great relief to have such a system entirely under my own control!

I wasn't aware Google provided real time share prices. Could you explain, please, how to display this information? I too used to use MoneyAM.

I am now much missing the Moneyam free sites Portfolio and Stockwatch. As a way of quickly checking how things were going it was great and Stockwatch also flagged up any RNS for the companies involved.

I've spent a lot of time in the past looking at online portfolio sites and it was the best given that you always had the option of using your broker site if you wanted absolute precision. I'm not desperately bothered about 15 minute delays but I do want RNS flags. Google, as mentioned here, is great for prices but doesn't do Portfolio.

Still open to suggestions for an alternative.

If your portfolio contains only UK shares it is worth looking at the London Stock Exhange site, it has a number of useful tools including portfolios and screeners. You can also set up RNS alerts for shares you are interested in.

At you can be sure the prices are correct!

Sorry, the subscription alert facility for this thread does not seem to be working for me and I have only just looked back to this topic.

I regularly monitor both the FTSE100 and FTSE250 via Google Finance which appear to be 'live' although they no longer auto-refreash every few seconds as they used to do.
