Rip-off Madrid CL Final

Sky News reports …
Champions League: Flight prices soar as Liverpool and Spurs fans seek final tickets
"Airlines have wasted no time in hiking their prices in light of stunning semi-final comebacks for the two English clubs."
https://news.sky.com/story/champions-league-flight-prices-soar-as-liverpool-and-spurs-fans-seek-final-tickets-11715132

The report goes on to say that Madrid hotels are also getting in on the act by hiking room rates.

The venue for the final is the Wanda Metropolitano, new home of Atletico Madrid …

Like Atletico’s former Vicente Calderon Stadium, the spectators are very close to the action which makes for a very hostile atmosphere for visiting teams. The stadium was built in 1994 as an athletics venue with a retractable roof and a capacity of 20,000. In order to accommodate Atletico the capacity was expanded to 67,000 in 2017. However, for the final UEFA has set a limit of 63,500, which is why Liverpool and Spurs have only been allocated 16,613 tickets each - jointly 52% of the capacity. I daresay UEFA are kicking themselves right now for deciding not to hold the final at Real Madrid's 81,000 capacity Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. But, who in their wildest dreams, could have planned for two English clubs facing off in Champions League Final.

Well it has happened before. Manchester United and Chelsea in Moscow. Was that in 2008? Man U won on penalties, not a very satisfactory way to end that sort of thing.
