Someone has a magazine to sell.
Most of this article shows that a small economy vehicle can go further than a large luxury vehicle, although not even all of these manage that.

It will be interesting to see if small longer range vehicles begin to open up the market for BEVs in the UK. So far Teslas are only for the wealthy in the UK. Even with low running costs they have limited appeal and limited range. Those of us who are considering an EV as a second car would be prepared to consider a reasonably priced car with a decent range.
Our second car is taking us on a 260 mile round trip on Saturday. No chance of recharging half way through. There still isn't an EV which one could trust to achieve this. It's half a tank of petrol in a Golf.
At least Autocar are reporting on real motoring situations. No silly claims for autonomous driving or ludicrous acceleration both of which are useless for a driver in this country. I assume that's why they are a well-read magazine.
