Online groceries query

I just wasted my time registering with ASDA, I'm afraid the online shopping systems have effectively collapsed where I am.

Keep trying. Unexpectedly, a whole load of Asda slots appeared for me this afternoon. I was able to grab one, purchase a delivery pass, and secure a weekly recurring delivery slot. Mind you whilst filling my basket the site has seized up several times due to 'High Volume Traffic'.

Checking out (which is required to secure the slot) was also fairly nerve wracking, as it failed numerous times with card authentication errors. I eventually succeeded after about a dozen attempts with different cards, various browsers and the Asda app.

Just in case it is of use, I see that Morrisons are offering this:

have managed to book an order with morrisons 3 weeks hence .

they are in swansea 40 miles away .

ive also purchased a £5/month delivery slot but when trying to use it it says no slots available!

suspect their website is evolving daily ...

When I'm a bit bored I cycle round (or try to) my recently acquired ASDA, Morrison, Sainsbury's online accounts. It passes the time...

ASDA is simply unavailable as usual. Sainsbury's is barred to me (over 70) apart from Click & Collect, no idea of time frame. Morrison's told me there was [1] day available, April 16th. When I clicked on it it said: "No slots available that day"!

When this is all over I'm going to have to spend time contacting them all to cancel my online accounts and removing details.

Just started watching the film Contagion on ITV2. That should be fun!

When I booked a recurring delivery slot at Asda I chose (for no particular reason) a Monday. I've just discovered that recurring slots are not valid on bank holidays. Aaargh!!!
