GP Medical Practice Website Updates
It is wonderful that these sites exist but why are they not updated regularly?
Two of them around here have old flu clinic data and covid data many weeks out of date.

Presumably because the practice manager is the one in charge so that no one is in charge.

Re: GP Medical Practice Website Updates
Ours is up to date in the sense it is cancelling two clinics for the vaccine jab and telling those with confirmed appointments later this month and early January not to turn up. Shortage of vaccine possibly?

Re: GP medical practice websites
Thanks jackdaw for putting this here and your comment confirming my query.
My question is a straigtforward operational question with no hidden agenda.
On the DAK qn. someone says their vaccine clinic appts have been summarily cancelled. Did they mean flu or covid or even pneumonia?

Re: GP medical practice websites
As I see it, the question was answered if somewhat briefly. The GP website does not get updated properly because it is no-one's specific job in the practice.
I suspect is often subbed out to a local web design consultant who does what s/he is asked to do once in a while, after a meeting of the practice managers issued some update instructions. There is no-one in the practice pro-actively managing the site as unless it is a really large practice, it would not be a full time job. Monitoring and thinking about updating the website is always something to do in a quiet period as it is rarely seen as urgent compared to some of the other stuff that goes on in GP practices, that really won't wait.

In an area adjacent to ours the covid vaccinations were cancelled because the vaccine did not arrive.
Ours are due to start just after Christmas, d.v.

Re: GP medical practice websites
We have found some useful up to date(!) info on covid vaccine rollout at our local main hospital which gives a link to the CCG Clinical Commisioning Group.
