Today Albion have announced their intention to raise funds for 5 of their funds (not AAVC), mostly under or about £10m each including over allotment facility but Technology is looking for £14m + an over allotment of £3m & Kings Arms Yard for £12M with an over allotment of £3m.
It will be interesting to see how well these go this year as most other vct's seem to be (understandably) rather slow in their early fund raises this year, looking at the Wealth Club figures.

Re: Albion fund raising
Have they been slow? I don't think particularly… No Mobeus of course but Octopus Titan and Baronsmead have gone past £40 and £30m respectively, Octopus AIM is already done for the year and Amati raised £20m over the summer. I'd say it looks fairly similar to last year overall.

There is a new interview with WFA on proactiveinvestors which is worth a listen:

Re: Albion fund raising
Does anyone here know the answer to the question I emailed them on Thursday?
I'm contemplating subscribing to your top-up offer this year.
I am an existing shareholder in AAVC, CRWN and KAY, but transferred my holdings to a nominee account (my Fund&Share account with Hargreaves Lansdown) a little under two years ago.
Since H-L have withdrawn their VCT service, applying through them is not an option. How can I ensure that my status as existing shareholder is recognised in an application?

Agreed, I always do that on my repeat investments, most of which are in crest, never yet had a problem.

If you need reassurance on this, a smart move could be to call up India Cornett, a most helpful lady on their Investors advice side, just let her know you are a holder in crest, that would be the "belt & braces" approach.

You could also try Sarah fitton at Albion as she is the main shareholder contact and deals with Computershare over shareholder queries, etc. I have always found her very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
My wife and I received separately in the post this morning the Albion Investor Guide for the latest offer. My wife only holds her shares through a nominee, but is on the mailing list. I believe that VCT managers can request the Registrars to obtain details of shareholders in the nominee accounts, all legal. I have a similar thing with an investment trust only held with ii.
Hope this helps.

Turns out that was an implied libel. My message was stuck on a server with no route to Albion until yesterday evening. So they will have read it this morning, and have sent a helpful reply in good time.
Now to decide whether to go ahead, and if so which of the VCTs to apply for. Sadly I don't recollect the details of the background to my previous choices of Albion VCTs.
