Re: New Biscuit Bar name
An author (Jon Stamford) once held a competition on Facebook to find a title for his new book. My suggestion was taken up on that occasion too! (Maybe a career change for me is in order?)

Blimey TLF is swarming with people so talented it makes me feel deeply inadequate.

Re: New Biscuit Bar name
This new name doesn't exactly trip off the tongue, does it?
You can easily say "take it to the Biscuit Bar"... but "take it to Lemon Fool - Improve the Recipe", really?
But at least you didn't call it "Lemon Fool Practical Improvements (See Group Guidelines)".

In what circumstances would you actually find yourself having to speak these words?

Well it had to be typed here, several times, for instance.

I doubt it would be needed many times though, spoken or typed, but in general I think brevity has advantages. "This should be in Room 101" works well enough. "This should be in the location associated with one of Orwell's more popular novels", less so, for instance.
I suspect if brevity is important, just in most language usage, a commonly accepted abbreviation might occur.

Re: New Biscuit Bar name
Merely putting this out for discussion/information, the new strapline for Lemon Fool - Improve the Recipe would appear to be:
The citrus centre is for questions or input on how the site works or improvement you would like to see.
Where is this "citrus centre"? Maybe change to "This ..." (otherwise a chance for cross fertilisation https://citruscentre.co.uk/).
Would there be only one improvement permitted (my Use of English may nowadays be mangled but that was one exam I didn't fail) or have I got that wrong (having looked it up, that is more than possible)?

I think you may have, there is always room for improvement though. C.PinkDalek wrote:Would there be only one improvement permitted (my Use of English may nowadays be mangled but that was one exam I didn't fail) or have I got that wrong (having looked it up, that is more than possible)?
