To give readers some flavour, the article commences The fraud squad has opened an investigation after more than 1,000 investors lost millions in an alleged pension fraud.
Police officers and civil servants are among the inexperienced investors who allegedly piled more than £120m into so-called storage pod schemes.
The article seems to have been based, almost wholly, on:
https://www.sfo.gov.uk/2017/05/22/sfo-s ... d-schemes/
The article also mentions The schemes, which were first investigated by Money Mail in 2015 ... which is probably this one http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/pens ... lions.html.
Tony Hetherington wrote about storage pod schemes more generally back in November 2013:

Those Fools over at The Motley Fool UK were discussing such matters back in April 2013 and onwards:

A longer version of that thread would appear to be here:

Re: What could go wrong?
It seems that approximately 4 years after everyone else realised Store First was bent as a five bob note the Government have finally cottoned on as well, and are at last petitioning for the poxy companies to be wound up - http://citywire.co.uk/money/government- ... ly_Summary.
Another great Toby Whittaker success. I wonder how long it will take HMG to realise that his other toxic `investment' Park First needs the same treatment. Presumably they will once again wait until hundreds of naive pensioners have been conned out of their pension funds and the various fraudsters involved have escaped with the loot.
