I did get as far as checking it out - honest!

Inverness to Luton or Gatwick....EIGHT quid!

The return was £22.

2 bottles of lady lager at the Clachan (a few years ago)....£10-odd.

Unfortunately, my London benefactor is in a state of post Brexit gloom (and who can blame him) and hotel rooms are extortionate. I do need a few days away though, so I'll keep looking around. It way well be that I call a snap social? Failing that, the wifey installed a whatsapp thingy on my phone, so maybe I (and anyone else for that matter) can 'pop in' digitally at the next one and say hi!
