Dividends payable in sterling will be converted from U.S. dollars at the exchange rate quoted by Bloomberg (BFIX) at 12 noon London time on December 2, 2019 (US$1 = 77.41736 pence). Accordingly, the dividend payable in sterling on December 13, 2019, will be 38.70868 pence per share.

A drop in the GBP value from 41.5610p last time .....

Thanks Ian,

Although the £ value is down, the $ value is the same as last time, just in case anyone is interested - so not a 'cutter'.

I am thinking of adding CCL to my HYP, but I seem to have missed out on the rapid dividend growth since 2014. It is now flattening out, and I would be happy to buy if they still have a 'progressive dividend' policy that matches inflation, but I am not sure if it is really now frozen for the time being.

History ($USc):
2019 200c
2018 195c
2017 160c
2016 135c
2015 110c
2014 100c

NB Earlier - dividend cut to zero after 2008 crash, but restored to 100c by 2011.

Current yield about 5% - not very tasty, but decent enough.

Hi FD

I have TUI in my HYP in this sector - yield is higher but you do get the pesky tax deductions, even if in a tax relieved wrapper.

Cheers, OLTB.

Has the ban on docking in (profitable) Cuba been lifted?

I'd be more worried though about Greta & XR pals

For ease of reference, the dollar denominated dividends back to 2003 all appear at https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/dividend-split-history/carnival?c=140690&p=irol-dividends and that link and others are at Company Share news (LSE Main Market) here https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=16572 where, like ITH on here, I usually update as each sterling dividend amount is announced, such that one can find the figures in one continuing thread.
