Roger Waters was great.Finished with Comfortably Numb. Doesn' t seem the same when Van Morrison isn't singing it( from the wall Berlin gig).
I don't know how to put up links but Audience from House on the hill with ,eye to eye and, I had a dream.I think it came out around 1970.John Peel pushing it on Sounds of the 70,s.
Demons in the night from "Stories" album.
John May all/blues breakers.

Black hole star. (Album)
Neutrons. ( band)
Living in the world today ( track )
They'd been listening to a lot of Pink Floyd when they wrote that.Wouldn' t be out of place on Dark side.

I am getting quite fluent with Hey Joe with my Telecaster and especially like the guitar bass line. I watch youtube, get an inspiration and go to my study/music room to lash out on the tele for a few minutes. Anyway, now something more closer to home:

Enough of all this modern stuff. Let's go back in time. Way back.
This was composed in 1910, but had its origins in 1567.
To me, it's the epitome of englishness, and there's nothing better than sitting quietly and listening to it. Guaranteed to eliminate the pressures of a stressful day.

Thanks panama gold
If I can indulge again then Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe from Page's album Outrider with
Hummingbird
Prison Blues.
Mick Taylor from stranger in town,I think recorded live in Stockholm.
Redhouse.
Just as it gets really mellow they fade it out
Then. Randy California ( Spirit) with Hey Joe ,does a lovely job of that.
A little WA band called the Waifs, London Still. The homesickness in her voice just gets you.

"Coast to Coast," Ducks Deluxe (live)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6IDGGJVnBo
I love the energy and intensity of this performance. But Andy McMaster always seemed a bit out of place to me, IMV the Ducks did not need a keyboard player.

Links to Pastcaring's indulgences:
Page+Farlowe - Humming Bird (written by Leon Russell)
Page+Farlowe - Prison Blues
Page+Farlowe - Blues Anthem
Mick Taylor - Stranger in this Town.
Jimi Hendri - Red House
Randy California - Hey Joe
Randy California tragically drowned in Hawaii, on Jan. 2, 1997 while helping his 12-year-old son Quinn, who had been caught in a riptide. He managed to push his son to safety, but could not save himself.
A poignant verse from a song on the album he released only a month before the accident.
Won’t you carry me down to the ocean
Fall beneath the deep blue sea
If I happen to drown...
Don’t rescue me
(‘The River’ by Randy California, Aqua Blue Music 1996)
the Waifs, London Still
Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart - People Get Ready - I don't 'do' Rod Stewart even if he is accompanied by the Beck meister.
Ten Years After - Love Like a Man
Page+Farlowe - Humming Bird (written by Leon Russell)
Page+Farlowe - Prison Blues
Page+Farlowe - Blues Anthem
Mick Taylor - Stranger in this Town.

Humble Pie: Black Coffee.
This day and age it would be very racist to sing that to an all black backing group, they don't seem to mind it though.

"Halfway to Paradise," Nick Lowe (1977)*
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxY3FtlLc-M
Nick the Knife gives a classic Goffin-King tune the power-pop treatment. The song was first recorded by Tony Orlando in 1961, but the Billy Fury version from the same year is much better known.
*Released as a single in 1977 and subsequently released again as a bonus track on the re-release of the album Jesus of Cool.

Re: Just Some Nice Music Thread Here...Post it Here...
Thanks again Panama gold.
There's a good CD by Smoking Joe Kubek,Texas Cadillac.
The last track ,"must have taken a wrong turn somewhere" ,something like that. Can,t find the CD.
I thought Randy California died in the 1980's.Time flies now.I think the court case comes up again next year for the Taurus/Stairway to heaven controversy.Sounds very alike to me
For some fun we had a comedy programme down here around 1991.Money or the gun. The end was different versions of Stairway to heaven.I think there was 22 of them, that's how Rolf Harris recorded it.
There is a copy band here called the Beatnix, copying the Beatles. They did a version of it in grainy black and white, just as if it had been video taped in 1964.Brilliant.
There is a version by a bluegrass/ country band called Fargone beauties, also very good.
For real fun then Steve' n Seagulls (from Finland ) doing Thunderstruck ( AC / DC ),on spoons, anvil and banjo, the guy on the spoons is great .There's some clever people in the world dreaming up these things.
Thanks again
Oops for all the welders on Esso Hibernia around 1970
Clear white light
Lindisfarne. The b side of the single was good too
Knackers yard blues
