Re: Air Partner
OK. But share price is falling, not rising. Seems to have gone back to its low point at the time of the accounting problem, I had expected it was on the mend and that was behind us.

I think it is worse than back then (April 2018) when the share price dipped to about 82p. Then some comfort, rising to about 122p three months later but then drifting again down to about 71p on 3 April 2019. Since then has risen jerkily to 97p on 5 June, went ex div the next day (3.85p), and has slipped back ever since then to about where we were in April 2019.
I'm sure the accounting problem is well behind us. Where the business is, is beyond my ken but I doubt the political uncertainty assists. I doubled up during the troubles at just over 100p. Might think about adding again at this price but, as I've said before, these smaller cap. investments I buy via my ISA and treat them in the same way as many of my AIM holdings, as a gamble!
Not that I seem to be winning at the moment but I'm ever the optimist.

Re: Air Partner
On the subject of Air Partner generally, I can't be the only person who looks at the Key Fundamentals here https://www.londonstockexchange.com/exc ... XSET3.html then delves into the Fundamentals tab.
This isn't the only company where the information provided is partially a nonsense and I'm aware of the disclaimer but to show Profit After Tax of £318.24 million for the year ended 31 January 2019 is more than sloppy. The figures for the previous 3 years are also misleading. The Profits for the years are probably correct though.
Does anyone know if this is something the company itself can attempt to raise with FTSE Russell Data Solutions and/or has anyone raised such an issue in a personal capacity?
I've this minute been provided with an email address at LSEG and will see what results.

PD, may I ask you a simple though perhaps 'interesting' and possibly 'sensitive'(?) question?
Are you aware of the AIR thread on ADVFN?

No worries about asking and, yes, I do occasionally glance at https://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/londo ... share-chat but draw no conclusions from it and most certainly haven't read the entire 1,325 messages.
If I've made a mistake increasing my holding at 71.99p the other day, then so be it. Strangely that was achieved under the bid price, albeit with the 15 minutes delay.

Neither have I. Especially as of today there are only 996 messages...

Price, after recovering following the accounting debacle, seems to have languished. AIR chairman has just been appointed as a non-executive director of an FTSE 250 listed private equity investment company. To become chairman of the board next year.

I haven't counted individual comments but that page includes Showing 1301 to 1324 of 1325 messages. Are you looking somewhere else, such as Level 2?PinkDalek wrote:If I've made a mistake increasing my holding at 71.99p the other day, then so be it. Yes, the share price isn't doing anyone any favours (if not shorters) and I hadn't even looked this evening, until now!
I did spot the Ed Warner RNS earlier today though and thought little of it. He remains non-executive Chair of Air Partner and has plenty of other interests:

I'm afraid your post and other events on TLF have put a cloud over mine. I am now losing almost 40% on AIR and it's by no means the only one. Fortunately, there are a few stars in my portfolio galaxy which are still shining brightly.
I can't help thinking AIR hasn't got a very rosy future in view of the serious environmental issues which must be faced up to. Perhaps I should bite the bullet.

Re: Air Partner
Oh dear!
It is STILL sinking. Price now even lower than at the time of the price collapse following the announcement of the accounting issue. It dropped from 74p to just under 70p on opening today.
Not looking good at all.

I look at the bid not the mid but I would imagine most active investors would know of the further fall!
You've yet to say if you are long or short or neither.

I'm not sure what you mean by an "active investor". I certainly don't think of myself as a trader. I am a long term holder - least I was!
Not so sure what to make of things now; is this an opportunity or signs of a company that is finally running out of steam in a changed environment?
Apart from the new chairman there has been no recent sign of directors piling in, which cannot be helping.

Me neither on the latter. I meant someone who keeps tabs on their investments, actively.

Re: Air Partner
Effectively bumping this Topic as recent changes to search at TLF viewtopic.php?p=255996#p255996 results in this Air Partner thread not being found easily (until now).
As has been noted by jonno in the Stockopedia comments section, the interim results (for the six months to 31 July 2019) are due out tomorrow and today this non regulatory RNS was issued:
Air Partner's Air Evacuation division partners with Northcott Global Solutions
https://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/AIR/14255556.html
One or both of those items may have contributed to the further recovery in the share price today.
At least my top up at 71.99p back in early July presently seems okay. Knowing me though it will be a false dawn, so I'll keep away from the news tomorrow and enjoy the RWC 2019 instead.

Re: Air Partner
Interims out today
https://www.londonstockexchange.com/exc ... 57268.html
Gross profit was £17.2m, in line with prior period and stronger than levels anticipated at time of AGM
· Underlying§ profit before tax of £3.0m, a year-on-year decrease, reflecting investment in overheads for future growth
· Statutory profit before tax up 6.8% to £2.8m
· Basic EPS up 13.9% to 4.1p; underlying§ EPS of 4.3p, down 30.6% on the prior year
· Interim dividend of 1.80p, an increase of 0.05p (2.9%) on the prior year
· Net cash (excluding JetCard cash) increased to £4.3m from £2.0m at 31 January 2019
Bit of a mixed bag and the Market didn't like it, bumping it down about 8% today, more than offsetting yesterday's run-up.
Still, the divi is up 2.9% YoY and no bloopers this time.
"The interim dividend is expected to be paid on 29 November 2019 to those shareholders registered at close of business on 1 November 2019. The ex-dividend date will be 31 October 2019."
I hold, currently at breakeven (Capital loss, profit if you include divis) and have no reason to sell with a well-covered divi North of 6%
