On the subject of quizzes, I used to find Deal or No Deal to be particularly stupid. (OK, it wasn't actually a quiz.)
There was no skill in it whatsoever. It quickly dawned on me that all the so-called Banker ever did was offer less than the average of the remaining values. So the contestant was always manipulated into not accepting the deal (and cue some undeserved cheering). If they did accept the deal, the show would effectively come to a premature end, and they didn't want that.
And that was the show in a nutshell.
